About the Airborne Hog Society

The Airborne Hog Society is dedicated to encouraging thoughtful discussion on issues of national and international significance.  Innovative ideas are preferred, rather than partisan cheerleading or ideological stereotyping.  Thoughtful analysis, creative solutions and constructive feedback are the primary goals for any writing piece published on this website.

At the Airborne Hog Society, we scoff at the "when pigs fly" mentality.  The ideas that shape tomorrow do not come from self-defeating "realists" who would rather declare that this or that idea will never happen or this or that policy will never make it into law.  The ideas that shape tomorrow come from entrepreneurs, risk-takers, innovators, and creative thinkers.  Here at AHS, we try to provide a forum for the people with those ambitions and ideas to share their thoughts, discuss them, and refine their views.  To this end, we provide a variety of means of communication and an outlet for creative minds to make their voices heard.

AHS strives to encourage thorough development of arguments, open debate, and appropriate forums for all types of feedback and discourse.  These means include a message board, comments on our web log, letters to our editor, and the availability of all of our authors to receive candid feedback from readers through email or through discourse on the discussion board.  We take particular pride in maintaining one of the most thoughtful and articulate milblogs on the internet, for timely and candid observations on the front lines of the most significant foreign policy undertaking in a generation.

Blog

The official blog of the Airborne Hog Society would be regarded as a "milblog" or a "military weblog".  It is a current journal of a US Army soldier deployed to Iraq.  So long as he is deployed to Iraq, this blog will be the most prominently displayed item on the Airborne Hog Society homepage.
